Shipper / Receiver – Calgary

  • Obtain freight quotes for customer requirements as per Sales Department.
  • Based on order specifications, picks and packages products for shipment.
  • Produce shipping documentation in accordance with established procedures
  • Coordinates carrier pick-up, prepares packing slips, bills of lading and shipping labels.
  • Formal recording of all OS&D’s (Over / Short & Damages) from shipments and deliveries, provide purchaser with complete information.
  • Unloads and receives product , finished goods and returned goods
  • Ensure all inbound material is received accordingly, product is checked for quality, and data entry into ERP is accurate and corresponding to proper warehouse, and location.
  • Maintain the purchase order files complete with all addendum, specifications and documents developed and distributed during the receiving and issuing
  • Ensure all warehouse and expediting activities are conducted in compliance with established procedures and practices
  • Perform QA checks on all inbound and outbound shipments; communicate any non-conformances to Operations Manager.
  • Performs cycle counts and physical inventory counts. Ensure FIFO (First in First Out) is fulfilled
  • Ensure all min/max levels are maintained; communicate any discrepancies to Operations Manager.
  • Maintains forklift and other material handling devices in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintains a well organized working environment, Complete all other requests instructed by Operations Manager
  • Adheres to all safety and ISO policies as outlined by Simark Controls Ltd.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail, and able to multi task.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be a Team Player.
  • Forklift experience an asset.
  • 2-3 years working in a warehouse environment preferred.

Business Development Representative – Energy – Calgary

Business Development Representative – Energy – Calgary

We are recruiting for a Business Development Representative based out of our Calgary office. The successful applicant will be responsible for growing and representing our EFOY Fuel Cell business in Western Canada.

Reporting to the Vice President – Instrumentation, Automation & Energy you will be involved with the continued growth and success of Simark Controls. You will have proven abilities to achieve long term and mutually beneficial customer relationships while establishing new business.

Qualifications:

  • Business or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Technology Certification
  • 5 plus years of related industry experience
  • Automation, SCADA and Fuel Cell Technology product knowledge is an asset
  • Proactive self-starter with Entrepreneurial work ethic
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required
  • Valid driver’s license, as frequent travel is required

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively pursue applicable Off-Grid Power applications and opportunities within various industries.
  • Development of sales strategies and delivery of presentations.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Generate three month rolling bookings forecast and meet monthly sales booking forecast
  • Provide detailed sales reports using CRM tools on customer projects and opportunities.
  • Drive growth to meet or exceed yearly booking targets.
  • Strong team approach/collaboration with Management, Service, Production and Peers.
  • Additional duties as required and directed by the VP – Instrumentation, Automation & Energy

Simark Controls is looking for a talented sales professional, based in or around Edmonton, AB to spearhead our growth in the NE Alberta territory.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and be able to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously. The team member will be responsible to liase with all levels of Simark’s organization, and manage a territory growth plan.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, Alberta North & to the Vice President, Sales & Marketing, you will be involved in the continued growth and success of Simark Controls.

Qualifications:

Technical degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or business

5+ years sales experience

Ability & desire to work in a fast-paced, team focused environment

Passion & focus for continuous improvement

Ability to travel

Dual minded approach: you are highly organized and an excellent communicator (both written & verbal) but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on team members for execution

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Relationship building with customers, including:
  • Provide to the industry the benefits of Simark Controls Ltd.
  • Provide technical expertise on the specifications, installation, operation and application of the equipment represented.
  • Handling Customer complaints.
  • After sales follow-up of projects.
  • Promotion of Simark products and services through customer training and demonstrations.
  • Quoting of projects within time line set by customers.
  • Meets with VP Sales at regularly scheduled meetings to discuss Account Development, Opportunity Pipelines and Project Pursuit.
  • Provides detailed Sales Reports using CRM tools on customer projects and quotations, sales calls and activities. Starts opportunities in iTrak. Completes Application Forms.
  • Constantly updates and maintains a current opportunity pipeline.
  • Meet with customers to determine their needs and to assist them with application problems.

Additional duties as required and directed by the VP Sales, VP Instrumentation, Automation & Energy and VP Power Products.
