Project Coordinator – Automation & Energy – Calgary

We are recruiting for a Project Coordinator – Automation & Energy based out of our Calgary office.  The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and managing integration and project proposals within Automation and Energy business units.

Reporting to the Vice President – Instrumentation, Automation & Energy, you will be involved with the continued growth and success of Simark Controls. 

Qualifications:

  • Business or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Technology Certification
  • 3 plus years of related industry experience
  • Proactive self-starter with Entrepreneurial work ethic
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment while prioritizing/multi-tasking
  • Automation, SCADA and Fuel Cell Technology product knowledge is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Working with Customers and Inside Sales to prepare and define project / integration specifications as it relates to our Automation and Energy product offering.
  • Project Management related duties such as scheduling kick-off meetings, internal project coordination and frequent customer interaction throughout the life cycle of the project.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to our customers and the Sales and Marketing Department.
  • Responsible for answering customer Technical and Commercial inquiries.
  • Strong team approach/collaboration with Management, Service, Production and Peers.
  • Additional duties as required and directed by the VP – IAE.

We are recruiting for a Technical Sales Representative (Outside Sales) for Saskatchewan / Manitoba region. The successful applicant will be responsible to represent our strong product suite, strengthen relationships, and establish new opportunities with a number of key customers throughout the territory.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be involved with the continued growth and success of Simark Controls. You will have proven abilities to achieve long term and mutually beneficial customer relationships while establishing new business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Technology Certification
  • 3 plus years of related industry experience
  • Proactive self starter with the ability to develop and execute strategic activities
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Development and delivery of presentations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

We are recruiting for a Power Product Specialist to be located in our Calgary office to support our customers and sales team. The successful applicant will be responsible to represent our strong product suite, strengthen relationships, and establish new opportunities with key customers throughout the territory.

  • 5 plus years of related industry experience
  • Proactive self-starter with Entrepreneurial work ethic

  • AC Variable Frequency drives and drives integration, application and product knowledge is essential

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for representing Simark Controls strong Power Products offering, improving customer satisfaction and developing new day to day business across the portfolio of solutions.
  • Provide detailed technical expertise and solutions on the specification, set-up, installation, operation, and application of the power products equipment.
  • Provide sales support to the Sales and Marketing Department through interaction with the customer, strategic account planning and project management.
  • Responsible for answering customer Technical and Commercial inquiries.
  • Interact with the Power Products Group to support the preparation of clear, complete and concise proposals.
  • Work closely with the VP Power Products to develop new and existing business opportunities.
  • Strong team approach/collaboration with Management, Sales, Technical Services and Peers.
  • Provides detailed Sales Reports using CRM tools on customer projects and quotations.
  • Responsible for knowing all pricing of products and technical specifications.
  • Additional duties as required and directed by the VP Power Products.
