Inside Sales  – Instrumentation, Automation & Energy – Montreal

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting our customers and sales team while representing our strong product suite.

Reporting to the Vice President – Instrumentation, Automation & Energy, you will be involved with the continued growth and success of Simark Controls. 

Qualifications:

  • Technology degree (Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics)
  • 1 – 2 plus years of related industry experience
  • Proactive self-starter with Entrepreneurial work ethic
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment while prioritizing/multi-tasking
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required
  • Essential bilingual skills – French and English
  • SCADA and industrial telemetry knowledge is valued 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Sales Support such as quotation preparation and sales order entry.
  • Review of large project RFPs and customer data sheets in order to develop complete and accurate Simark project proposals.
  • Responsible for knowing all pricing of products and technical specifications.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to Simark customers and the Sales and Marketing Department.
  • Strong team approach/collaboration with Management, Service, Production and Peers.
  • Additional duties as required and directed by the VP – IAE ,Inside Sales – Coordinator and local Eastern Canada sales team
  • Demonstrate a high level of autonomy and the ability to work effectively without direct supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Diplôme collégial en Électronique Industriel (instrumentation et contrôle, électricité, électronique)
  • 1 – 2 ans et plus d’expérience dans un domaine connexe
  • Auto-motivé, proactif avec éthique de travail entrepreneuriale
  • Capacité à travailler sous pression dans un environnement dynamique et habile à prioriser et gérer plusieurs tâches simultanées.
  • Excellentes habiletés en communication et relation interpersonnelles
  • Maîtrise de l’utilisation de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel et PowerPoint) est requise
  • Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais oral et écrit est essentielle
  • Connaissance du SCADA et de la télémétrie industrielle est valorisée

  • Analyse de demandes de propositions de projets complexes et des fiches des spécifications fournies par les clients afin de développer des propositions de projets Simark complètes et précises.
  • Développer une excellente connaissance des prix et des spécifications techniques des produits.
  • Fournir un soutien technique et commercial aux clients de Simark et aux services des ventes et du marketing.
  • Forte aptitude à travailler en équipe, en collaboration avec les équipes de gestion, des services, de la production et ses pairs.
  • Accomplir toutes taches ad-hoc requises par le vice-président – IAE, le coordonateur des ventes internes ou l’équipe de vente locale de l’Est du Canada
  • Démontrer un haut niveau d’autonomie et la capacité de travailler efficacement sans surveillance directe.

Technical Sales Representation – NE Alberta

Simark Controls is looking for a talented sales professional, based in or around Edmonton, AB to spearhead our growth in the NE Alberta territory.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and be able to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously. The team member will be responsible to liase with all levels of Simark’s organization, and manage a territory growth plan.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, Alberta North & to the Vice President, Sales & Marketing, you will be involved in the continued growth and success of Simark Controls.

Qualifications:

Technical degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or business

5+ years sales experience

Ability & desire to work in a fast-paced, team focused environment

Passion & focus for continuous improvement

Ability to travel

Dual minded approach: you are highly organized and an excellent communicator (both written & verbal) but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on team members for execution

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Relationship building with customers, including:
  • Provide to the industry the benefits of Simark Controls Ltd.
  • Provide technical expertise on the specifications, installation, operation and application of the equipment represented.
  • Handling Customer complaints.
  • After sales follow-up of projects.
  • Promotion of Simark products and services through customer training and demonstrations.
  • Quoting of projects within time line set by customers.
  • Meets with VP Sales at regularly scheduled meetings to discuss Account Development, Opportunity Pipelines and Project Pursuit.
  • Provides detailed Sales Reports using CRM tools on customer projects and quotations, sales calls and activities. Starts opportunities in iTrak. Completes Application Forms.
  • Constantly updates and maintains a current opportunity pipeline.
  • Meet with customers to determine their needs and to assist them with application problems.

Additional duties as required and directed by the VP Sales, VP Instrumentation, Automation & Energy and VP Power Products.
